School Clubs


Being able to offer a wide range of school activity clubs options for children of all age groups is a key strategy to being able to increase the amount of physical activity within schools. Central to this is being able to identify and deliver a range of activities that appeals to a broad spectrum of children within school.

The specialist activity knowledge and more relaxed relationship required to facilitate a successful school club provision is often a barrier to school staff leading such provision as is the huge time restraints that are placed on staff.

SSG Activities provide an innovative and varied school clubs menu for the children at your school.

Dream Team Challenges Club

Each week the group will take on different action packed and fun filled team building challenges which test and develop their critical thinking, ability to work with other, plan solutions to problems, improve communication, organisational and leadership skills and help them strengthen relationships with other. We use a wide range of different team challenge each with their own funky name and story based scenario to engage the children, some of these include:

  • The Spiders Web
  • Toxic Waste
  • Crossing the Swamp
  • Leaky Pipe
  • Wobbly Bridge

American Multi Sports

This club introduces children to a range of sports more commonly played in the USA. We spend two weeks on each sport over the term, to introduce the relevant equipment, skills and game play. This is a great way to introduce children to a range of different activities including:

  • American football
  • Baseball
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Lacrosse
  • Handball

Construction Capers Club

This unique club uses a construction theme to develop the inner engineer within youngsters, alongside developing their physical abilities, critical thinking and team work and providing them with fantastic fun activities and challenges each week. We utilise some specialist construction kits as part of this club unlike anything else brought in from the USA, along side a range of other resources for certain other construction challenges.

KS 1 Sports Super Mix Club

Our multi-skills sports club combines a huge range of funky and fun specially designed games and activities for primary aged pupils. We use a ‘story book’ coaching approach to capture the imagination of the younger children, to play games and take on challenges while incorporating a whole range of movement and equipment skills that can be used for the base line development in all sports in the future. Whether the children are escaping crocodiles, climbing mountains, collecting gold coins or learning to drive they will hardly notice the huge range of physical skills they are improving and sports equipment they are getting familiar with due to the level of fun the are having.

KS 2 Sports Super Mix Club

Each week a different sports is used to provide an exciting range of skills develop and different fun filled challenges and activities. Sports included are tag-rugby, short tennis, dodgeball, badminton, netball, handball, uni-hoc, kwick cricket, basketball, and much more.  Each week is broken into three parts:

  • Skill work – an activity to get players using the equipment effectively
  • Skill challenge – a head to head challenge developed specific for each sports
  • Small sided game – conditioned game play allowing players to all be included and learn the basic rules of the sport.

Summer Super Mix Club:

A fantastic blend of all of our favourite summer time sports including athletics, kwick cricket, mini tennis, rounders, ultimate Frisbee and handball. The summer super mix club has been designed to engage children and encourage physical activity in a fun and inclusive way, using this range of exciting summer sports.  

 Fun Fitness Club:

Our fun fitness club offers a unique focus on different areas of fitness and fitness techniques in a way that the children have a fun filled and action packed experience. Activities include:

  • Skills circuits
  • Fitness circuits
  • Boot camps
  • SAQ fitness (poles/ladders/hurdles)
  • Wacky relay races
  • Movement to music

Mini Olympics Club:

This club includes a range of Olympic sports and includes mini Olympic competitions along the way to add in some fun and friendly challenge and competitions. Sports included in our mini Olympics are track races (sprint/hurdle/relay), field activities (javelin/shot/discuss), jumping activities (long/triple), as well as volleyball, uni hockey, badminton and archery to name a few.

You can then choose to run your club on the days and times that best suit you and the needs of the children and families in your school.

  • Before School morning clubs
  • Lunchtime enrichment clubs
  • After school and evening clubs

Choose the payment method that best suits the needs of your school and work with either half termly, termly or annual rates to get the best possible price.

  • Parent paid clubs – SSG collects payments to sustain the club directly from parents
  • School paid clubs – SSG invoices the school termly
