SSG are proudly working in partnership with Bedford Borough Council and the Harpur Trust to provide children with part funded sessions during the summer holidays to get them ‘active’ and giving them a routine.
Play – A vast range of activities at all different levels that the children can access. This can be adult or child led and will range from inflatable fun to outdoor fun and crafts. This will encourage meaningful play and interaction with other participants of all abilities. The core of these activities will also encourage children to keep Active!
Arts and Crafts – This will offer a vast range of arts and crafts to suit a variety of abilities and needs of participants. The session will encourage them to be creative and spark imagination. Activities will vary from messy crafts to junk modelling and outdoor crafts
Each activity that the participants take part in as part of a larger session will have activity characteristics and aims that are visible throughout. These will see participants working on some of the following characteristics:
Each session and activity will have an objective and value put against it to ensure the participants are getting the most out of each one. This could be a theme they are working on or a task they have to complete and think about throughout the session. An example would be – friendship!
AM Session – 8.30am – 12.30pm
PM Session – 1.30pm – 5.30pm
Please be aware that the children MUST be picked up between sessions – they are unable to stay on our site between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
